If, as a client, you are dissatisfied with any element of our service, (including about your bill), you should first contact the fee earner with responsibility for your matter or your relationship manager if you have one. If they are unable to resolve your dissatisfaction, their head of the relevant department will be happy to discuss with the matter with you or pass the matter on to the firm’s Senior Partner.
If you are not satisfied with our handling of your complaint you can ask the Legal Ombudsman (address PO Box 6806, Wolverhampton, WV1 9WJ, website www.legalombudsman.org.uk, telephone 0300 555 0333 or email firstname.lastname@example.org) to consider the complaint. Normally, you will need to bring a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman within six months of receiving a final written response from us about your complaint.
If your complaint is about your bill, you may also apply to the court for an assessment of the bill under Part III of the Solicitors’ Act 1974. If all or part of a bill remains unpaid, we may be entitled to charge interest.
